About this course
Adult nursing is one of the most directly impactful professions in the healthcare system, placing you at the bedside of patients across the full spectrum of acute and long-term conditions. Adult nurses work across hospitals, community settings, specialist clinics, care homes and patients' own homes, and they are responsible for assessing needs, planning and delivering care, administering treatments and communicating with patients and families through often difficult and stressful circumstances. It is a profession that demands both rigorous clinical knowledge and genuine human compassion. At Middlesex University, this three-year full-time programme prepares you for registration as an adult nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. You will develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care to adults with a wide range of health needs. The course combines academic study with substantial practice experience in diverse healthcare settings, equipping you to think critically, exercise professional judgement and work both autonomously and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
