In a nutshell
Working on the design of new buildings and the redesign of existing buildings.
What you'd do
Develop architectural concepts and produce design proposals at all stages
Prepare planning applications and liaise with local planning authorities
Produce detailed construction drawings and technical specifications
Manage projects on site including attending site meetings
Administer construction contracts and certify valuations and variations
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and specialist consultants
