In a nutshell
Applying the principles and procedures of medicine to assess, prevent, diagnose, care for and treat patients with illness, disease and injury and to maintain physical and mental health.
What you'd do
Clerking patients on admission by taking a full history and examining them
Participate in ward rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making
Request and interpret investigations such as blood tests and imaging
Assist in clinical procedures under supervision of senior doctors
Present cases clearly at handover, ward rounds, and MDT meetings
Communicate with patients and families about diagnosis and treatment
Complete logbooks and reflective portfolios for progression reviews

Clinical skills: history-taking, physical examination, and procedural competencies
