In a nutshell

Plan, prepare and produce a significant range of refined products such as sour dough, complex pastry and biscuit products, fried products, and cake and sponge products.

What you'd do

Plan and organise daily production schedules to meet demand
Mix, shape, prove, and bake a full range of bread, pastry, and confectionery
Check finished products against quality and appearance standards
Manage ingredient stock levels and place orders to avoid shortfalls
Train and coach junior bakers in correct techniques and hygiene procedures
Complete food safety records including temperature logs and allergen controls
Develop new product ideas and trial recipes to specification
