Eyebrow Technician
What you'd actually do
The work is consulting clients on the shape and look they want, then shaping, tinting or treating their brows with precision and care, while keeping everything clean and hygienic. A steady hand, a good eye for facial shape and a friendly, reassuring manner matter, since brows frame the face and clients want to look just right.
You will work in salons, beauty bars or for yourself, often including evenings and weekends, with pay that starts modestly and rises with skill, reputation and tips. Many technicians go self-employed and build a loyal client base, which brings freedom along with the work of running a business.
You will need training and a recognised qualification in your specific techniques, and advanced treatments like microblading require extra certification, insurance and following strict hygiene and licensing rules set by your local council. Most people start with a college course or specialist training.
