What you'd actually do
As a farm labourer, you do the practical work that keeps a farm running. Your day changes with the seasons - you might be planting seeds in spring, tending animals all year round, harvesting crops in autumn, or fixing equipment and fences in winter. You'll work outdoors most of the time, in sun, wind and rain.
The job is physically demanding and the hours can be long, especially at busy times of year.
