Lash Technician
What you'd actually do
The work is consulting clients, then carefully applying individual or volume lash extensions one by one - slow, precise work that can take a couple of hours per client - and advising on aftercare. A very steady hand, patience and strict hygiene matter, since you work close to the eyes and clients trust you with delicate, detailed work.
You will work in salons, beauty bars or for yourself, often including evenings and weekends, doing focused close-up work that can strain the eyes and back. Pay starts modestly and rises with skill, speed and reputation, and many technicians go self-employed and build a loyal regular client base.
You will need training and a recognised qualification in lash application, plus insurance, and you must follow strict hygiene and your local council's rules. Most people start with a specialist course and build up speed and skill with practice.
