As a pest controller, you go into homes and buildings to find and get rid of unwanted pests - rats, cockroaches, wasps, ants, spiders or bedbugs. You are a mix of detective and problem-solver, tracking down where pests are hiding and working out the best way to remove them. You might use traps, sprays, exclusion techniques (blocking their entry points) or other methods depending on the pest and the situation.

Then you set up a plan to deal with the problem and come back to check it is working.
