About this course

Data science is one of the most rapidly growing and practically significant disciplines of the early twenty-first century, combining statistical analysis, machine learning, computational methods, and domain knowledge to extract insight from the vast quantities of data that organisations now collect. The ability to ask good questions of data, to choose appropriate analytical methods, and to communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences is in demand across every sector of the modern economy, from healthcare and finance to retail, government, and scientific research.

This three-year, full-time programme at the University of Exeter develops your skills in statistical thinking, programming, machine learning, data visualisation, and the mathematical foundations that underpin data analysis.
