General engineering is a degree that deliberately avoids the narrow specialisation of most engineering programmes, instead developing your capability across the full breadth of engineering disciplines before you choose where to focus your professional career. It recognises that many of the most interesting and consequential engineering challenges sit at the boundaries between disciplines, requiring people who can think fluently across mechanical, electrical, civil, and systems engineering and who have the project management and problem-solving skills to bring different approaches to bear on complex real-world problems.

At King's College London this three-year full-time programme aims to produce engineers of the future who want to make a real-world impact.
