Media Production

Media production is the craft of bringing ideas to life across the full range of contemporary media formats, from short-form digital content and social media to documentary film, radio, television and games. It requires creative vision, technical proficiency and the editorial judgement to make choices about what to include, how to shape a narrative and what will work for a particular audience. At Coventry University, this three-year full-time degree is broad in its coverage, introducing you to podcasts, photography, music videos, film, television, games and radio, and it includes a sandwich year, year abroad and work placement, giving you substantial professional experience and international perspective alongside your academic and creative training.

You will develop the technical skills of production including camerawork, sound, editing and post-production alongside the conceptual and critical understanding of media that distinguishes graduates who can work thoughtfully with their medium.
