About this course

Statistics is the science of reasoning under uncertainty. It provides the mathematical tools and conceptual frameworks needed to collect data rigorously, analyse it honestly, and draw conclusions with a clear account of how confident those conclusions should be. In a world in which decisions in medicine, government, business, and technology are increasingly driven by data, the ability to think statistically is one of the most practically powerful skills a graduate can possess.
